My Tuna-Pasta Salad
I was really inspired to eat something that I had not eaten, in quite
a while. So, I decided that I wanted to make a dish with tuna and
pasta.
I took a pot with
water, and boiled it until I saw big bubbles. Then, put in two (2)
boxes with 12-ounce (each) of farfalle pasta. After it was cooked and
felt tender, I drained all the water, and let it cool. Then,
transferred all the pasta to a pot that was large enough to
accommodate all the ingredients.
Ingredients that I
added:
* 4 cans of tuna
fish
* One (1) Onion
(chopped)
* Pepper – green
and red
* Pepper – green –
half – chopped
* Pepper – red –
half – chopped
* Celery – two (2)
sticks – chopped
* Cilantro
* Apple vinegar
* Mayonnaise
* Garlic (powder)
* Black pepper
(powder)
* Oregano (powder)
* Thyme
* Basil
* Ginger (powder)
I mixed everything
in, nice and easy. The picture shows the outcome of my labor.
After I served
myself, I thought it tasted really good. It felt very personal,
because I put in exactly what I wanted to eat.
You could try your
own variation on this. For example, instead of tuna-fish, you could
replace it with steamed chicken (chopped). Or, for that matter, you
could use your imagination and replace it with whatever comes to your
mind.
For now, I am proud
of my work.
